jsf-applet is a free, light weight, Open Source JSF Component that renders an applet.

This component was born to fill an hole in public domain jsf components: none of the major JSF component libraries (trinidad, seam, icefaces... ) is able to render applets.

Loading decorationThe project evolved, like many other Open Source projects, from what was originally a very simple set of classes to write a tag on a jsp page. As often happens in projects, requirements are modified over time resulting in the original code being factored out of the original project into a project of it's own. The project source code, downloads, tracker and forums are hosted on SourceForge which is the largest Open Source project repository on the Internet.

Decoration We believe that utilities, such as jsf-util, should be available for free to the whole community. There is a growing community building around this library who are using it in just about every conceivable way. It's being used in JEE application stacks both commercial and Open Source. With a BSD license you are free to rip it apart and re-pack or use it as you like.

If you have developed a project using jsf-applet, we would love to hear from you and possibly link back to your project site. To tell us about your project post a message in user forums with as much detail as possible.
